Year in Review: 2024 Through the Eyes of Balozy Technologies

In 2024, Balozy Technologies continued its meteoric rise as Kenya’s premier service provision platform, achieving milestones that cemented its position as an industry leader. Through strategic partnerships, technological innovations, and impactful marketing campaigns, Balozy redefined how Kenyans access and offer services.

Strategic Partnerships: The Eric Omondi Effect

One of the most notable moments of 2024 was Balozy’s groundbreaking partnership with renowned comedian and influencer Eric Omondi. Leveraging his massive following and charismatic persona, Omondi became the face of Balozy, amplifying its brand visibility and making it a household name. His comedic skits showcasing the convenience of hiring professionals through the Balozy App resonated deeply with audiences, driving user engagement and app downloads to unprecedented levels.

Another highlight of Balozy’s year was the collaboration with Green Warriors 237 in December. This partnership led to a successful community event in Thika, where hundreds of service providers were onboarded, expanding Balozy’s network and reinforcing its commitment to community development. Such initiatives have been instrumental in promoting environmental sustainability and job creation across Kenya.

Technological Innovations and Platform Enhancements

Balozy maintained its commitment to technological advancement by investing in app and web development, ensuring seamless user experiences. The incorporation of a fast OTP SMS response and constant app debugging enhanced both customer satisfaction and operational efficiency, enabling clients to find service providers with just three clicks. Balozy’s constant updates have made it the go-to platform for homeowners and service providers alike.

Marketing Dominance: Billboards, Roadshows, and ABS Material

In 2024, Henry Mwangangi joined Balozy as a Marketing strategist. Through his vision guided by the Co-founder and CEO,  Steve Nganga,  Balozy’s strategic marketing initiatives solidified its presence across Kenya. Prominent billboards along Nairobi’s Uhuru Highway and Thika Road at Thika Road Mall became iconic symbols of the brand’s growth, catching the attention of millions daily. Beyond the capital, ABS Material installations in Mombasa and Nakuru extended Balozy’s reach, creating a nationwide awareness that firmly established the brand in key cities.

The year also saw Balozy conducting media tours across Nairobi, Nakuru, and Mombasa. These events allowed the team to connect directly with communities, explain the platform’s benefits, and onboard thousands of new service providers.

Of importance to note was the Balozy feature on Citizen TV’s Made in Kenya Show, a feature on Milele FM, KBC and HomeBoyz Radio.

Expanding Geographic Reach

Balozy expanded its operations beyond Nairobi, successfully establishing a presence in Mombasa and Nakuru, two of Kenya’s fastest-growing urban centers. By partnering with local professionals and deploying targeted marketing campaigns, Balozy ensured seamless integration into these markets, providing residents with access to top-tier services while empowering local talent.

The Year in Numbers

Balozy has since grown to boast over 75,000 downloads on Google Playstore and has onboarded more than 3,000 service providers. Balozy’s growth has been both rapid and sustainable. The platform’s ability to cater to diverse customer needs while empowering professionals has earned it accolades as a transformative force in the Kenyan economy.

Looking Ahead

As 2024 comes to a close, Balozy reflects on a year of growth, innovation, and impact. By combining cutting-edge technology, strategic partnerships, and unwavering dedication to community empowerment, the company has set the stage for even greater success in 2025.
